Raising Ryu: Series 1 EP 1(Birthday Celebration)
It’s been a while since I’ve written about Ryu on an entire post. I used to be a full-time mommy blogger and it was fairly what I did on a daily basis. I miss doing that and with two kids it is something that I’m definitely looking into starting all over. This would be the first series of Raising Ryu.
Ryu’s birthday had come and gone on July 28th. We did a full weekend of celebrating (excluding Saturday, he was at his dad’s). Friday was his actual birthday and instead of going out like we usually do, Lovey had decided to just make him his favorite meal at home while he opened presents. His Godfather showed up with presents as well. It was a small celebration, but we definitely had a nice small, intimate evening with just the 5 of us. The plan was to take Ryu to Glowzone on Sunday with my sister and brother-in-law.
Ryu received his early birthday gift from me a few months back, since June. He got a Nintendo Switch along with a few games that were released the next several weeks. Lovey got Ryu his first brand new, and big boy bike. He hasn’t quite gotten to ride a bike growing up so we still need to attach training wheels to them. Either way he’s super excited about it. He also came home with a box of robots for him. His Godfather brought him this giant nerf gun. He might not have received a bunch of gifts, but he definitely loved what he got.
Overall, it was a nice little family evening spent at home. I am planning to add more pictures from the Sunday we spent at Glowzone. Lovey also had made a delicious dinner at home. He made Fettuccine Alfredo from scratch and it was exactly what Ryu wanted for his birthday dinner. I’m just trying to enjoy the very last two weeks I have with my kids before going back to work full-time. It hasn’t been easy balancing home life with two kids. I personally have still been struggling with the transition toggling attention between two kids. It’s been a bit slow here at home because Lovey and I have been extremely tired. We do the best we can to accommodate both kids. I’m just thankful that Ryu tries to understand what’s going on to the best that he can.
Until the next episode on this series I’ll leave you with the few pictures I have from that evening. These pictures were not taken quite well. I am still trying to play with my settings. I take better pictures under natural light. However, we don’t have great lighting inside our condo. I tried messing with the settings and instead I’ve taken a bunch of blurry images which is a bit disappointing since it was for Ryu’s birthday dinner at home. It’ll do for now. At least, I was still able to get a few decent pictures from it.
