Peter & Ali’s Wedding // Portland – Part 2

Day two of Portland!

We woke up a little damaged from the night before, but our hotel had free breakfast so we self medicated with eggs, bacon and coffee. Lots of coffee.

We had to feel great becauuuuuuse….we had reservations for a Brew Cycle tour!

The whole wedding party was on board, plus a couple from Australia. I think it’s safe to say they were entertained by us.

We went to three different bars in the Pearl District of downtown Portland, and all three were amazing. Cycling was harder than we thought, but it was worth it!

Will cycle for beer.

Each bar had happy hour prices for us, and we usually always got a sampler so we could all try multiple brews.

I thought Denver had a good beer scene, but Portland knocked our socks off. We used the app Untapped to keep track of what we tried so we could look for some of our favorites back home.

Oh Fat Head Brewery, how I love thee.

The tour lasted until early afternoon and we all returned back to the hotel to change and get ready for the rehearsal dinner itself. And by change and get ready, we mean take a little catnap. #canthang

But eventually, we pulled ourselves together and got to the rehearsal dinner at Ali’s aunt’s house. They had BBQ and yard games, plus more wine and beer. Of course.

We also got to hang out with Gracie’s boyfriend, Yogi (they’ve never met but we like to assume they’d be besties in real life).

The dinner came to an end and Peter and Ali kissed each other goodnight one last time as single peeps before we headed back to Fred Meyer to buy more beer.

And find me a swim suit. You see, I forgot to pack one. Actually, I didn’t even think about packing one, but when we checked into the hotel, we found out the pool was open 24 hours, which meant I reaaaaally wanted to find a swim suit because I knew we’d all end up at the pool at some point.

No, I really didn’t buy that suit. Because it was THIRTY DOLLARS.

That’s all for now, folks! We’re actually about to Skype Peter & Ali because they just got back from their honeymoon and we can’t wait to hear all about Saint Croix.
