Colour Confidence at Royal Ascot with Dove Invisible Dry

As you may have read from my previous post (if not you can catch up here), I was very excited to be invited to Ladies Day at Ascot this year courtesy of Dove. To celebrate Dove Invisible Dry Deodorant, Dove is on a mission to get the women of the UK more colour confident and to break free of wearing all black, all the time! I am usually a monochrome aficionado, but I put on my little coral dress and fascinator and hit the races with a spring in my step! Dove set me some super fun roving reporter challenges to do during the day and here are the results.
Challenge One: Find and be photographed with the most colour confident woman you can find at Ascot, asking her how wearing colour makes her feel
The picture above is me and the lovely lady I found who was called Susan! How pretty is her outfit? I loved her matching orange accessories and the dress is such a flattering shape. Wearing colour makes her feel happy and confident and I think it shone through, in a sea of people behind us wearing black she really stood out and I wasn’t nervous to go and speak to her as she came across as so friendly and bubbly and seemed to be having a great time with all of her friends. I definitely think wearing colourful clothes makes you come across as more approachable.

Challenge Two: Take a photograph of yourself in your dress and document if it makes any change to your overall confidence levels or attitude.
I think the above pictures say it all really. I know you don’t know me personally but I will explain. I am the person that hides from photos at all times. I will take a few selfie’s now and again for the blog if necessary but if I can possibly hide at a blog or work event when I see a photographer I will and there are a lot of pictures of me that awful people have put of me on Facebook and tagged me in that I erm...may possibly have reported as inappropriate so they were removed!

The fact that I happily had my photo taken by other people rather than myself and actually look like I am having a good time speaks volumes to me about how confident I was, especially in hindsight. I didn’t really think a lot about it on the day but looking back, I didn’t worry about how I looked at all as I actually thought I looked pretty good!

Challenge Three: Apply Dove Invisible Dry to your outfit (after shaking thoroughly), and report back on whether it has left any white marks as per the claims.
I applied the Dove Invisible Dry deodorant roll-on as per the specifications, and Tanya tested out the compressed spray. It was a bright and sunshine filled day so quite warm and we walked all around exploring, looking for Pimms and chips and, obviously, putting on some bets!

Despite all of these factors we had to agree with the ‘ leaves no white marks on up to 100 colours’ claim as not only did we have no white marks on any of our dark, light or brightly coloured garments, we remained fresh and sweet-smelling for the whole of the day! A complete winner! To be honest it was the only thing that was winning, as all our bets went awfully wrong, but we still had a fabulous day. If you haven’t tried the Invisible Dry range I would highly recommend it.
Would you try wearing more colourful clothes knowing it would make you feel more confident? Let me know!
