MY DIY | Monstera Palm leaf Resin Tray

After I made this tray, I have been thinking up a new decor idea for my kitchen and am super excited with how it turned out! We had a bunch of monstera leaves left over from photoshoot and I had this tray at the studio, combined with some resin, I have a decorative tray to display or serve up snacks at my next party! This project is beyond simple, and the results are just so cool. I think you should start gathering up the goods and try this weekend. Don’t forget to tag a picture of your project with #ispymydiy on Instagram! Steps and supplies after the break…

What you need:
Tray with handles
16oz Crafting epoxy
Monstera Leaf – artificial

What to do:
1. First, cut your monstera leave to fit your tray. Arrange a few so they to not overlap, and abuts to the edges of the tray.
Note: I used real leafs that I pressed under books for a few days, and am noticing a little color change over time, if the color change bothers you, try using artificial leaves.
2. When you have your leaves in place, dab glue on the underside and adhere the leaves to the tray. Place books on top to flatten, and let dry.
4. Mix they epoxy according to the directions on the box, and then pour into the tray. Place the tray on a flat surface, and let dry for 24 hours.
