Trend Alert: Shibori

A few months ago a friend at work told me about an ambitious Shibori project she was embarking on (growing the seeds herself is the start of it) and ever since then i’ve been collecting images and reading about this ancient Japanese dying technique. There are many Shibori dying techniques involving different folds, pleats and even stitches but the one that’s currently in favour involves using indigo dye (it comes in other colours too). With blue so big in interiors and fashion, it’s no surprise that Shibori is big in these spheres too…
