Beach Break

Since our beach days in Blighty tend to be a little disappointing, I took full advantage of a short stay in Montego Bay in the St James parish of Jamaica. It's very rare that I stick to a resort that caters for your every whim but I must admit it was nice to not have to worry about what to eat or where to go. Usually I pride myself on having the most authentic experience possible whenever I travel, I try to eat as much local food as possible and throw myself into every situation. It's easier for me in JA since I have family who understand the ropes (the driving needs to be seen to be believed) and can just about understand the expressive Patois, which most people speak. I'm almost as happy exploring the unfamiliar supermarket isles just as much as I am doing the typical sightseeing. Maybe it's because I'm renting now, I'm obsessed with filling my food cupboards!

When you think of the perfect holiday piece, a playsuit like this springs to mind. This Reiss number was spotted at the press day back in dreary November and little did I know that I''d get to be documenting it in such a wonderful location just over six months later. The Caribbean sun just makes everything so much more vibrant in comparison to grey London, it's almost as if I'd had a Wizard Of Oz technicolour moment as soon as I arrived. Now I'm back, it's hard to comprehend that these were my surroundings just over a week ago, luckily I have all these pictures to jog my memory!
