Power Outage

I'm wearing:
1. Knit sweater in gray, from Forever 21. 2. Super slim fit jeans in charcoal, from H&M. 3. Wrinkled suede chelsea boots, from Asos. 4. Fantastic fox necklace, from titiMadam.
!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); e.id = id; p = '//shopsensewidget.shopstyle.com/widget-script.js'; var cb = new Date().getTime(); p = '?cb=' cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === 'object'){ if(doc.readyState === 'complete'){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, 'script', 'shopsensewidget-script');
I like mundane, I like simplicity. Hey friends, sometimes I really enjoy wearing uncomplicated outfits, throw a cozy sweater with skinny jeans and we're on business. There are days where I don't feel like dressing up, where the voltage is not making me go all up and running. In those days, sweater and skinny jeans are my best friends.
I've been saying throughout the month that life is a show; and even the best shows face problems here and then, even the brightest stages can suffer from power outages. That doesn't have to be a bad thing; difficulties and challenges are tests that prove wether we're able to overcome tough times or if we need to go back, regroup and start again (they can also prove some people are weak or incapable of fulfilling some tasks as well. Let's face it, there are weak people in the world).
A power outage could mean a catastrophe but, also, a breather, you can catch a break and think about what you're doing with your life, going back to basics, taking a step back to advance three steps forward and keep on being the star of your show. It all depends on perspective, you know? You must be able to see the positive even on the negative. That will take you places.
Love always, Hen.
