A SUPER EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!

I have a SUPER exciting announcement to make - and I can't keep it to myself any longer!

You guys.

I have the most MOST exciting announcement to make and I absolutely cannot keep it to myself any more.

In a strange way, I have delayed posting anything about this - for the irrational fear that if I get too excited about it, it might disappear away from me (do you know what I mean?!). But that's just silly and it's happening:

In January next year, I am beginning a Yoga Teacher Training Course.

As the most AMAZING Birthday/Christmas/we-are-never-buying-you-anything-ever-again present, my parents have given me the opportunity to complete my yoga teacher training and you guys - I AM THIS EXCITED!!!!!!!!!

(although, this is only 615 pixels wide, which is not a very accurate measure of excitement).

In true book-nerd style, I have all my text books (In fact, I *MAY* have ordered the text books before even being accepted into the course) and I have already started making some very detailed notes, key points and summaries. Probably, by January, I will be able to teach the teachers some shizz. Probably.

A funny thing, AGES ago, Warren bought me a beautiful notebook. He kept asking me why I wasn't using it. And I had to keep replying that I was just so special that I was "saving it for something" (hashtag notebookhoarder). THIS "something" is totally it.

The thing is, NEVER in my life before has something ever felt SO right. It feels weird to be saying this at the ripe-old-age-of 29 but I honestly feel like I have finally found "My Path". Every single thing about this just feels perfect. Everything fits and everything feels SO good to me. I get an incredible feeling inside me every single time I think about yoga and I get an ever greater feeling at the thought of being able to share that feeling with everyone else.

(ALL THE FEELINGS)

When I left high school, my biology teacher tried to convince me to become a doctor (Read this post) and I really considered it, because I absolutely loved biology and the study of the human body, but the thought of having to deal with blood and ACTUAL guts, made me mock-charge several times. In my mouth. Now I have the opportunity to be working with the human body, in a creative intuitive way. (Sans blood and gore).

When I was overseas teaching english and studying my PGCE there is only ONE text book that I remember from that entire course. It was a small blue book and I don't remember a single thing from it except the 3 chapters on Eastern Philosophy. I didn't really know what it was all back then, but I just remember thinking - "Wow. This stuff is so amazing. I'm so glad I have this book." Little did I know that the thing that was making me excited within those pages were exactly the concepts, principles and ideas of yoga.

It feels strange (and amazingly good) that one of my most popular post on my new indieBerries site to date, is the post on My Tips on Yoga and Instagram Challenges, even although my Oscar Pistorius post reached more than 16 900 people on Facebook.

I get a REALLY good positive feeling when I sell any yoga-related cards or posters (which, coincidentally has been a LOT more in the recent month or two).

It just feels like everything fits.

A little while ago I posted about some big shifts in indieBerries - this is it.

At the moment, there is a big shift happening over here - to a more yoga-orientated vibe. I don't think I will ever leave the creative stuff completely, but I think there is a way to blend the two together. I don't know if the 'indieBerries' domain still fits with all of this - but for now, I'm just going to be patient and see where it all goes.

Everything I read about yoga, the books that I have been studying and the things I have been learning about just make me SO excited. Warren is (dutifully) subjected to ALL THE KNOWLEDGE

I get so so excited about everything that I am learning and I have been thinking about a way to share it with all of you. At the moment I don't have the time to create an entirely new blogging platform and I don't want to OVERRUN indieBerries WITH ALL THE KNOWLEDGE. So while I figure out what I'm going to do with everything I have decided to use my Yoga Instagram Account (@indieyogalife) to share all the things that I am learning.

My goal is to share the thoughts, ideas and concepts that I find so inspiring and meaningful in the hope that they inspire you too. I am also keen to use my yoga instagram account as a kind of revision tool - for when the time comes for me to sit my exams. I'll be using the hashtags #indieyogaPhilosophy for collecting the philosophy of yoga #indieyogaAsanas (relating to physical postures, alignment etc) and #indieyogaLife - which will be a collection of my own personal thoughts and musings during this journey.

If you are keen to learn more about yoga in its entirety or you would like to share in my journey - you can follow me on @indieyogalife on Instagram.

I absolutely CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!

Thank you SO SO SO much to both my mom and dad for this incredible opportunity - I'm so grateful and I know that this will be absolutely life changing for me.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
