Exciting news: This is not a launch!

I have some "exciting" news that I wanted to share.

Has it felt like I've neglected this blog space in the last little while? To me it has.

Sorry blog.

Anywa-hooo - it's been quite crazy busy over here, Valentine's Day went by in a blur of pink and red - it was so busy for me that I had to suspend half the items in my store because I ran out of stock two days before Valentine's Day. (well done self). In fact it was so chaotic that I pretty much ran out of everything - mailing envelopes, dispatch note sheets, cards, prints, cello bags, printer paper, cardstock, everything.

Not complaining - cause it was an AWESOME feeling selling so much - but man being a one-man show... it was IN. TENSE. Super grateful for all the indiestock that went flying out - and a huge learning curve for next year!

Along with the madness of Valentine's Day - I've also been working on some really awesome custom projects recently - I shared a sneak peek of one of them here. Am hoping to share more about all the different projects when I get a gap - they have all been such fun! (Plus I have such an exciting collaboration that I'm SO excited to share - coming soon!!)

AND along with the Valentine's Day and ALONG with all the design work.. yoga teacher training is also in FULL. SWING.

Last weekend we actually hit the halfway mark and it feels like it is just flying past! SO much new knowledge, SO much new information, SO much new yoga, SO little sleep.

As some of you know I have separated my instagram accounts into two: one for indieBerries (design/stationery) and one for yoga life (indieyogalife). I'm not really sure if it was wise to split them up - but at the time it felt right. Over the next while - I am hoping to leave the indieBerries account focused more on the design/graphics/stationery side of things and the indieyogalife as the more yoga, and general "che warren" life - but will see how it goes!

Some of you have mentioned via the indieyogalife instagram account that you would like to follow more of the yoga teacher training journey that I am currently on. So I started quietly getting shit together for Chedyer.com

Before i go any further, I just want to reiterate - THIS IS NOT A LAUNCH.

As a "creative" (using that term broadly and loosely) I think it is very easy to get "anxiety-perfection-fear" (made that up) from the word "LAUNCH"

"LAUNCH" implies, "HEY GUYS!! THIS IS IT!! LOOK AT EVERYTHING AND IT'S PERFECT FINISHED STATE!". Launch implies that all the work and fixing and tinkering and hammering and bashing has already been done and you are just pulling up the curtain to reveal the finished product.

I just want to say that chedyer.com is NOT a finished product - I am still figuring out how I want it to look and feel, (still figuring out how to remove those obnoxious read mores that don't actually read more), and still sorting things into different categories that I want to publish.

Also bear in mind - I mashed this up myself (with very limited wordpress knowledge - using a theme - so you are also VERY likely to see a bit of awkward placeholder text from the theme. HA. Also am still figuring out how to get some pages to do what I want them to do. #frustration #workinprogress #enjoythejourney)

The content I want to share on this site:

Yoga Journal - This is quite a personal part of the website and probably more personal that I have shared anywhere else. As part of our yoga course we are required to keep a journal - I have been transcribing mine here. As you will see if you pop over there - they are not up to date - the book that I am physically writing in is up to date - I am transcribing the book as I go along. (IN MY SPARE TIME).
Asana - graphics of asanas, with pose benefits, pose precautions etc. Once I have built enough of these, I want it to become a useful place (for me or other teachers) where I can build my own class sequences - by categorising each asana into one of it's main functions - ie: hip opener/ hamstring stretch/ backbending etc - so that people/yogis/teachers can click a category to get similar poses in a grid - so that they can build their own classes with a specific body theme.
Learn Yogi Stuff - yesterday I started revising some stuff and MAN. there is a LOT. So i've decided to share what I am learning for others who may be interested to learn more about the philosophy/history/practice of yoga. (in a fun way. obvs.) Also. drawing totes helps me learn.
Real Life Yogi (coming soon) - little tidbits of funny (cartoon) life of a yogi.
Yogi Threads and Yogi Recommends and Yogi Videos - also three different categories that I'm busy brainstorming - as I said... work in progress..

SO THIS IS NOT A LAUNCH :)

I'm just telling you that it's there if you are interested.

and some of you might be keen to watch its development.

Let me know what you think!

xo
