Since several of the standards I teach ask me to relate scientific jobs and scientists in history to the various concepts, I decided to create a "Scientist of the Month" bulletin board.
Here's how it turned out:
from Amazon as a fun addition to the board. :) You can purchase your own by clicking

I think I might add something else in that bottom right corner... Maybe a light bulb? It looks a little empty right now.
Anyway.
I purchased 2 big squares of scrapbook paper from Hobby Lobby, turned them on the diagonal, and stapled them to the board. Then I took two page protectors and hung them on the board accordingly. {I used a bit of teacher's gum to secure the free side of the vertical page protector so it doesn't flop around.} All the biography sheets are horizontal, and all the pictures of the scientists are vertical. I stacked the pages in the order I want to display them throughout the year and stuffed them all into the page protectors. Each month, I'll just take the top sheet of paper in both stacks and move it to the back. Easy!
I used biography.com to get information about the scientists, and then I just put the info into a bulleted list. I got the scientist pictures from Google images. Get your free copy of the biography sheets by clicking
