Blackberry Basil Sangria

The flavors of fresh basil, ripe blackberries, and refreshing lemon blend together beautifully in this Blackberry Basil Sangria.

I don't know about you, but after this week, I'm in the mood for a drink. In fact, I deserve ALL of the drinks. As I've told you, I am house hunting (and house selling), and this past week has been a stressful one. *checks blood pressure*. That's why today I'm mixing up this delicious and gorgeous Blackberry Basil Sangria. Won't you join me?

How Do you Make Sangria:

It's no secret that sangria is one of my go-to spring and summer cocktails. I've created a variety of sangria recipes here on Inspired by Charm (You can find all of them here.). However, this new one has quickly moved to the top with my favorites.

What I love most about this particular recipe is the basil. You wouldn't think that basil would go well in sangria, but it's truly magical. Maybe I shouldn't be surprised though since I've previously made and enjoyed a number of drinks with basil (and other herbs).

As noted in the recipe, the club soda is optional. I'm one of those people who like a little fizz in sangria, especially on a warm and sunny day. Just be sure not to add the club soda too early. Immediately before serving is best.

If you weren't quite ready for spring and summer, one sip of this will get you there!

Let's mix up a batch, shall we?
