Decor Ideas for Indoor/Outdoor Living
Trees are leafing out, flowers are blooming, and lawns are greening up. That can only mean one thing: spring is finally here!
Inspired by the season and the joys of indoor/outdoor living, today I'm sharing decor ideas for styling two spaces in your home.
This post is sponsored by IKEA.
As an IKEA Ambassadör, I used a variety of their products to style my dining space with a beautiful table set for friends. I also updated my small balcony for dining al fresco. With a few simple touches inspired by nature, I was able to bring the outdoors in and the indoors out.
Let me show you around!
After seeing the KRUSTAD plates at IKEA, I couldn't wait to set my table. I was initially attracted to the lovely pale gray but was smitten when I saw the subtle pattern and textures.

With my dinnerware selected, I had fun styling the rest of the table setting. For my placemats, I used KVALLSFLY cork pads. They are a perfect size and add an outdoor textured look to the table. I then add in the OSTRON flatware set. I thought the black handles worked nicely with the napkins.
From there, I layered a napkin, small cutting board, and bowl. When I'm styling a table, I always think about what pieces I'll actually need for the meal. Then I like to add creative serving pieces, which is why I chose these small PROPPMATT chopping boards. I thought they'd be great for presenting a cheese plate appetizer.
These IKEA 365 wine glasses were also a welcome addition. Their unique shape means they could work for wine, water, or even a cocktail.
Because spring is here, I couldn't resist including a few seasonal blooms. Paired together, tulips and lilacs are stunning.
As I hinted last week when I shared the recipe for these Mini Mason Jar Key Lime Pies, I also gave this table a little tweak for dessert time. This HJÄRTELIG dome is one of my favorite IKEA finds. While I think it would make a great terrarium, I also love it for serving.
I tucked a few of my mini key lime pies inside for a fun and special presentation.
My balcony, which is just opposite my dining space, got an update with this TARNO table and chair set. I'm thrilled that it folds up, allowing me to use it when I want to create an outdoor dining space in minutes.
I imagine this would be a wonderful area for a late night meal which is why I tucked in a few lanterns and candles. I love the magic and drama of flickering light.

To make this space more functional, I also planted fresh herbs in clay pots. I incorporate herbs in my recipes whenever possible, so having them at arms reach is super convenient.

To me, herbs are quite beautiful, which is why I frequently pair them with flowers when planting my container gardens.
As I often suggest, a large tray on the table makes it a breeze to transport food and drinks from the kitchen to the outdoors. I even whipped up a batch of my Berry Watermelon Limeade. It looks perfect in those wine glasses, don't you think?
I hope you're inspired to experiment with some of these ideas in your own space. Happy decorating!
