Evening at Bayberry House: Christmas 2018

In a few short days, it will be Christmas. As I get ready to put a big bow on all of my holiday preparations (Before I do, please know a few more seasonal posts will be coming your way.), I thought it'd be fun to do something different and show you around Bayberry House at night.

My Seasons of Home Blogger friends and I have gotten together for one final collaboration in 2018. All 20 of us decided to snap photos of our homes at night to capture the magic and lights of the season. This tour is unlike any other, so I encourage you to check out each of the bloggers I've linked up at the end of this post.

Depending on your experience with photography, you might not know that lighting is everything, and sunlight is best. This is why most bloggers photograph their homes during the day. Not only is it much easier, but the photos look crisp, bright, and well-lit. However, with all the glowing lights of the holidays, there's incredible beauty in the evenings as well, and we thought you'd like to see it.

Taking these pictures was certainly a challenge for me as I'm not accustomed to working without natural light. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy the results. Practice makes perfect, right?

Amazing photos or not, it's certainly magical.

Since I shared my Christmas Home Tour previously (You can see that here if you missed it.), I'm going to let the photos do most of the talking this time around.

Thanks to a fresh coat of paint, a new sofa, and lots of Christmas cheer, this room turned out just the way I wanted.

While not much has changed in this room since my most recent tour, I did bring in this little collection of vintage deer I found at a local shop. The deer I had came from my grandparents, and I couldn't resist adding more.

All of my trees always have a touch of quirky. I love these gold sequined unicorns.

How great is it that you can see both Christmas trees from this angle? Do you think Santa will leave presents under both? More trees equal more presents, right?

I also hung my marshmallow wreath. I can't believe this has lasted 4 years!

You'll also notice that the sofa is missing from this room. My new furniture is scheduled to FINALLY arrive today! I couldn't be more pleased. My plan is to give you a look around the space next week. Stay tuned!

Also, you might be wondering where my DIY ornament wreath ended up. Here's a sneak peek. You'll see more of it next week.

I've been using this fireplace nonstop. It's been one of my greatest pleasures at Bayberry House. In fact, I may need to get more wood to make it through the winter.

To complete this evening tour, let's take a quick look outside!

And that's a wrap. What did you think? It's totally different at night, isn't it?

Thank you so much for joining me and my fellow bloggers on this unique night-time tour of our homes. Be sure to check out everyone else below.

Wishing you the merriest of Christmases!
