Fall Decorating Ideas from Bayberry House
Step inside my home for some colorful, cozy, and fabulous fall decorating ideas. I'm giving you a look around in hopes of inspiring you to decorate your own space for the season.
Fall Decorating Ideas from Bayberry House
I've already kicked off autumn of 2021 by sharing a few fall decorating ideas which mostly were from previous years, so I thought I would invite you back into my home to share some of my current fall decors.
This post is part of my Seasons of Home holiday decor series. This week my blogger friends and I are giving you some fabulous fall decorating ideas by sharing our Fall Home Tours. All of these talented ladies are linked at the end of this post. When you are done looking around here, be sure to click through to see all of their stunning homes and inspired ideas.
When it comes to seasonal decorating, I never feel like I'm done. (Yes, this is both a blessing and a curse.) Consequently, this little Fall Home Tour is more of a "this is how things look right now" rather than "this is a completed look at my home for the season." Hopefully, that makes sense.
With that being said, this tour may feel a bit random (that's because it is), but be sure to stop back because I'm certain I'll have more new things to share as the season unfolds. I also highly recommend joining the Inspired by Charm Mailing List if you want to ensure you don't miss a thing. Additionally, I have a fun email series on how to create a picture-perfect fall. You can join that series HERE if you're interested.
With that, let's get on with the tour!
Fall Decorating Ideas Home Tour
Last week I gave you a look at how I styled my living room for the fall season. In case you missed that, I'll give you a mini-tour here. (Check out this post for more details.)
Even though this room is somewhat white and bright, the addition of amber and rust tones, fall decor, and flickering flames helps this space feel cozy and inviting.
Since sharing the previous post, I did make a little addition that I wanted to show you. If you're following me on Instagram (@inspiredbycharm), you might know I just completed a 30-day art challenge. Well, I took one of my oil paintings from the art challenge, a pumpkin, and added it to my bookshelf. I love how it looks.
That was a quick tour of this room, so if you want to see more, you can find the full post about this space HERE.
Over in my family room, I kept things pretty much the same with just a few slight changes.
First, I created a new "boo-tiful" fall mantel using my collection of handmade pottery tealight ghosts from Mollie Jenkins Pottery.
I will have an entire post dedicated to this mantel, so stay tuned for that. (You'll be able to see how it looks with all the candles and tealight ghosts lit up. It's pretty fun!)
To the left of the fireplace, I have a wall space that I never know what to do with. I had a little shelf here but didn't love it, so I decided to swap it out for a little peg rail that I styled with a bunch of throws. I'm really loving how this change looks! Plus, it's totally functional as we head into the cold-weather season. Bring on all the cozy feels.
I may have gone a little too matchy-matchy with the colors, but I like it nonetheless.
Another change I made to this room was swapping out the wall sconces on either side of my TV. I think the ones that I had here previously looked nice, but they only directed light downward which made them kind if of useless. This room doesn't have any sort of overhead lighting so it can get pretty dark in here. These new lights offer so much more light and really brighten up the room. Plus, they look fabulous!
My paint-by-number gallery wall still proudly hangs in this room. You can read more about it HERE.
My dining room got a few new changes including a new chandelier and curtains. This is a space I'm still working on, so for now, you just get a little sneak peek. I am LOVING the changes. I'll share more about this space soon.
I kept things pretty simple in the kitchen. A few ceramic pumpkins and fresh flowers were all I needed. (If you have any questions about sources for this space, I have an entire post dedicated to that HERE.)
Here is a little peek into my butler's pantry
In addition to some seasonal touches, I always recommend a few delicious treats!
When it comes to fall decorating ideas in the kitchen, all I really care about are the tasty goodies coming out of my oven. Ha! I've linked some of my favorites below.
My Favorite Fall Recipe Ideas:
- Aunt Maggie's Pumpkin Roll
- Salted Caramel Apple Pie
- Apple Cider Martini
- Baked Pumpkin Donuts
- Salted Caramel Pecan Sticky Buns
For the moment, I think that just about sums up the current fall decorating here at Bayberry House. Here are a few more random photos that did fit in above.
I hope you enjoyed this somewhat impromptu and slightly random post of fall decorating ideas. Even better, I hope you picked up a few suggestions that you can recreate in your own space.
