That time my brother was in the major leagues

This weekend was just what I needed to get set and ready for the week waiting ahead of me. With a little bit of family time, some retail therapy with my sweet momma, a great service at church, and then relaxing at home....it was a combination of all my favorite things wrapped up in 3 short days.
Right before we got yelled at for me being on the field Oops...it was worth it though
On Friday, I headed to downtown Houston to watch my little brother and his high school baseball team play on the Houston Astro's field at Minute Maid Park. I loved getting to be there with pretty much my whole family and getting to watch him doing something that he loves. He makes me prouder than I think he will ever, ever know. After we froze our behinds off at the park, my mom aka Sue and I went back to the hotel and try out the outdoor hot tub at our hotel. Yes we are crazy but it was amazing to sit in there, catch up, and have views of downtown Houston surrounding us.
I decided to stay in Houston on Friday night with my sweet momma and so on Saturday we got up and after a delicious breakfast decided to head off to do some shopping. There isn't a time Sue and I aren't together that we don't end up at a mall somewhere. But don't you encouraging friends of my #nospend2014 worry, you can all be proud...I bought no new clothes. With an emphasis on clothes. You see there has been this pair of wedges at Ann Taylor that I have swooned over for at least 6 months. They are always there haunting me with their silly high price tag. Well, insert the extra 60% off everything sale they had today and the fact that those babies were sitting on the rack waiting for me, and I lost all self control. But hey...a pair of $90 shoes for $25 is a good deal.

I spent most of Saturday night grading papers and organizing things for this little blog of mine and my photography blog that is still a work in progress. It's so fun to be going through this process, even though I'm sure I'm making mistakes here and there along the way. I love to learn new things and I am definitely learning a lot as I continue down the path of having my own little business.

Sunday was clean up day. As in, clean the house and pick up all the random things that make their way around the house. It's interesting to me how much of a clean freak I am, yet how much of a "leave things lying around" freak I am too. It is always nice to have Sunday to get everything organized and ready for a new week, especially since I have morning duty and a pretty busy week.

I hope you all had a great weekend friends. Enjoy the start to your week and be happy.
