peek into my makeup bag

Is it seriously already August? How was everyone’s weekend? We had a great time in Florida for a few days and now it’s back to real life. Wah. Today I want to share a peek into my makeup bag with some of my old favorites, as well as some great new products I’m excited to try out.

Old Favorites –

MAC eyeshadow (in Coquette) – I use this eyeshadow to quickly and easily fill in my eyebrows. I love how pigmented it is and it’s easy to apply.

Chanel eyeliner (in Ebene) – I live for this eyeliner. I’ve been using it for years. It goes on so easily and doesn’t smudge all day long. Perfection.

Benefit Girl Meets Pearl – This is a pretty and easy to use highlighter. I dab a little under my brows and on my cheekbones to add a little glow that looks natural.

Benefit Eye Bright – I use this on my lids and the inner corner of my eyes to look more awake. I don’t wear eyeshadow very often, so this is a good way to look more put together.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser for Dark Circles (in Light Pale) – This concealer is a steal and seriously works so well. I’ve heard other bloggers rave about that concealer and it’s for a good reason. This really helps out with my under eye circles.

L’oreal Youth Code Pore Vanisher – For everyday I’m too lazy to wear foundation, so this is a good way to make my skintone look more even (and less shiny).

Soon-to-be Favorites?

Urban Decay – Naked Smoky – Everyone raves about the Naked palettes, so I’ve been wanting one for awhile. I already have some good neutrals and nudes, so I sprung for this fun smoky palette. As I said above, I don’t wear eyeshadow too often, but I want to play more with fun looks for when I go out.

Benefit Hula Matte Bronzer – Can you tell I’m a fan of Benefit? I love their other products so I’m excitedt to try out this bronzer. I got a little sun over the weekend in Florida, but I tend to stay pretty pale, so bronzer needs to be my new best friend.

Clinique Even Better Eyes Dark Circle Corrector – I don’t have awful dark circles, but I could still use some help with them. I’ve heard this product works really well so I’m keeping my fingers crossed it helps me out!

I bought these newest items from Sephora using Splender. It’s a fab site that gives you cash back on online purchases (up to 40%!) Plus you can stack cash back, coupons and offers to increase your savings.

It’s super easy and free to join – after you log-in, do a quick and easy search for stores. Click a deal or offer that you want and you’ll be transferred to that store’s website. Complete your purchase on the store’s website like normal. The store pays Splender a commission for sending you there to shop and Splender shares that money with you in the form of a cash back. Plus you can stack cash back, coupons and offers to increase your savings.

It was so easy to just log into Splender first (when they were offering an awesome 10% cashback for Sephora – woohoo!) and then click on over to Sephora and shop like usual. Super easy and then I got an email letting me know I have over 12 bucks in cashback coming to me! Just for buying what I already wanted.

If you’re a lover of online shopping (who isn’t?), definitely check out Splender first. Who doesn’t love free money, right?

I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.
