Hello, Crafters.
Yesterday we did our first craft jumble sale, and it was a brilliant success. The miserable weather didn’t stop crafters turning out in force! Everything I sold was non-Stampin’ Up! I had seven large boxes of wood mount stamps – at a guess I’d say about two hundred stamps! This was far too many for me to price each stamp individually. I solved this problem charging twenty pence an inch. To calculate the inches, I measured two adjacent sides of each stamp. Initially hubby felt very uncomfortable about my idea.
As soon as I had my first customer, and he saw my plan in action, hubby felt confident it was a good idea! I had also sorted out my various cardstock into piles of similar types e.g. regular, foil, embossed, etc. I divided each group into piles of equal number of sheets e.g.regular cardstock 20 sheets, embossed cardstock 15 sheets, foil cardstock 10 sheets. In preparation for today, I had bought 200 A4 cello bags. Each pack was sold for £1.00, and they sold well. Other items I was selling included unopened packs of scalloped-edged card bases and envelopes, old craft magazines, and a selection of free gifts which came with craft magazines.
I will certainly be doing this again, but unfortunately, craft jumble sales don’t happen very often! Sarah, the young lady who organised today’s event will be organising another one in September. I know about another one that’s happening in May but that’s fully booked. I’m hoping to go on the waiting list but I have no idea how long that list is!
Today’s video shows how to make this very unusual card that didn’t have a name! I looked back on a video I made a couple of years ago, that looked the same except for the triangle fold backs. I have just added Triangle in front of the name! The first time Isaw this card was when a crafter contacted me and asked if I could make a video. She told me where I could see the card, and as soon as I saw it, I knew I had to make a video!
As usual, I have listed in the box below the video, the cardstock pieces and sizes you need, plus the products used. I have also listed which piece of Whisper White goes with which piece of All My Love Designer Series Paper. I hope you find it easy to follow. Pleae don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions! I’m always happy to help. That’s about it from me today. I hope you have a very blessed Sunday, and until tomorrow, happy crafting.
