Looking like you’ve spent a lot of time contouring and highlighting your face when you first roll out of bed can be challenging (or at least it is for us). After all, your pillow has squished your cheekbones so much that they almost look non-existent. You might think...
That being said, there are some tricks to help create more definition in your face when you wake up in the morning. It may seem like an impossible task because no one really has prominent cheekbones when they first wake up – but hey, with a little bit of dedication and practice, we can all achieve that fabled “sculpted” face! Let’s get started!
We all know that exercise is good for your health and can really help with stress, anxiety, and other mental health issues. But did you know that it can help you look younger, too? That’s because exercise releases certain hormones that actually help your body produce collagen, which is responsible for keeping your skin plump and firm. So, if you are looking to reduce wrinkles and make your skin look more youthful and vibrant, then exercising is a great way to do so.
And did you know that exercising before bed is beneficial? That’s because when you exercise before bed, you can regulate your cortisol levels, which is a stress hormone that can cause your face to look puffier and more aged as you get older. Of course, all exercises will help, but some styles, such as yoga, can be good for sculpting the body because they make you more flexible.
By exercising before bed, you can help reduce the amount of cortisol in your body and therefore reduce puffiness in your face. So, if you are trying to reduce the number of wrinkles and bags under your eyes, then exercising before bed is a great idea.
Sometimes, puffiness in the face is due to weight gain. Exercising can help you maintain a healthy weight–though you can also incorporate a diet or a new weight loss treatment to help work on this.
Sleep is vital when it comes to your skin, not just in the sense that it can help you reduce wrinkles and maintain a youthful look but also in the sense that it can help you achieve a more sculpted face. Sleep is when your body repairs and restores itself, which is why you feel so tired after a good night’s sleep – your body is working hard to repair you!
This can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and bags under your eyes, which can help you achieve a more sculpted face come morning. So, if you are trying to achieve a more sculpted look, make sure you are getting a good night’s sleep!

• Exercise Before Bed
We all know that exercise is good for your health and can really help with stress, anxiety, and other mental health issues. But did you know that it can help you look younger, too? That’s because exercise releases certain hormones that actually help your body produce collagen, which is responsible for keeping your skin plump and firm. • Get a Good Night's Sleep!
• Use rollers and hand movements to de-puff your face
There are different ways you can try and de-puff your face when you wake up. For example, you can use a roller to try and push the blood from your face back into your body. This can help reduce the swelling in your face and give you a more youthful look. Jade rollers are very popular at the moment. There are plenty of tutorials online to teach you how to use them–from beauty influencers to celebrities.
Additionally, you can also try using hand movements to de-puff your face. This one is a little trickier than the roller method because it requires a lot more precision and muscle control to do right. However, if you can master this technique, you can be sure to have a more youthful look come morning time! It typically involves circular motions and pushing your skin upwards instead of down.
• Use Posing to Help Fake Shading and Highlighting
This is another exciting way to help achieve a more sculpted look come morning. If you are trying to create the illusion of shaded cheekbones, you can use different posing techniques to help you achieve that goal. For example, if you want to make your cheekbones look more prominent, you can use a pose above your face and even have your hands clasped behind your head.
Alternatively, if you want to create the illusion that your cheekbones are somewhat hidden, you can use a pose below your face, such as putting your hand on your knee or resting your chin in your hand. This can help you achieve different goals depending on the pose you use.
Naturally, this will only help if you are taking photos–it’s unlikely you can walk around the office with your hands behind your head!
Lots of love, Liz
