Trust me when I tell you I’ve never been fond of animal print.
Growing up, I never saw leopard or zebra prints styled well, so whereas now I applaud anyone who manages to pull it off, it’ll never be for me.
Call me a weirdo, but I still wanted an animal print I could love, so I’ve been on the lookout until now. When I caught my first glimpse of cow print I went through a mental checklist: had I seen it before? Not really. Did it fit my aesthetic? Yes!
And so, a love story was born.
I like the irony of being attracted the cow print. I understand wanting to associate yourself with the leopard. They’re sleek, sly and are at the top of the food chain. The cow? Complete opposite. Luckily I’m not too invested in the attributes of the actual animal, only the uniqueness of the print and the fact that it calls to my heart.
