Seasonal Skin Savers
A few weeks ago, I began to try out two new products in the hope to save my skin from seasonal woes.
Jan Marini C-ESTA Eye Repair Concentrate - £41
My face gets incredibly dry every time the season changes. It gets crackly, flaky and tight - even on my eyelids! Grrrr! This light-weight product is said to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as encourage collagen production. After testing out this serum for nearly a month now, I did notice a difference with the firmness of my skin. I applied the serum twice daily around my eye area before applying moisturiser and my skin improved pretty dramatically. The dryness of my eyelids used to prevent me from wearing any sort of eye makeup and this serum has corrected that for me. I will definitely be purchasing another bottle to keep my temperamental skin in check throughout Autumn and Winter. Not to mention, the smell of this product is absolutely gorgeous. It's like a mixture of citrus and coconut!
SkinCeuticals AOX Lip Complex - £33
One item that I carry around with me everywhere I go is my lip balm. I have no idea why, but my lips get dry really easily! I was quite excited to try out SkinCeuticals AOX Lip Complex because I haven't really tried using lip creams before. I tend to stick to balms due to how compact and travel-friendly they are. This product is said to be a "preventative treatment against pre-mature lip ageing and dryness." After trying this, I have to say that I've never experienced a more fast absorbing product than this lip cream. It literally sinks into the lips straight after application! Absolutely amazing, I love it. It dramatically made my lips feel a lot softer and hydrated. However, I didn't see any improvements in terms of smoothing deep lines but it honestly did help restore my lips condition.
I genuinely loved testing out these two products. They've helped me revive the most problematic parts of my skin and definitely deserves its space on my vanity table than in my drawer. Would I recommend these products? Yes of course! Especially if your skin doesn't react well to seasonal changes.
How do you normally look after your skin?
