Helping Widows: Lalita’s Story

I like to sew (quilts) a lot. I am glad that I know how to do simple stitching to fix clothes that get rips in them or put hems in things that need them. Although I haven’t done much sewing outside of quilting, I am so glad that I own a sewing machine so I can work on quilts and I hope that one day (as I have only been making quilts since September) I can sell them to make some income. I live in a rich land where owning such things is not a big deal, but I want to tell you about someone who’s life was changed completely because of a sewing machine.

Lalita’s husband died in 2003 and she loved him very much and didn’t know what to do without him. She suffered for three years trying to provide for her children. Her brother helped her a lot, but what really got her going was that Gospel For Asia provided her with a sewing machine. She is a tailor where she lives and every day fixes or sews clothes for others. She now has no problem providing for her children. Learn her wonderful story in watching this video. For $85 you can purchase a sewing machine for a family or widow. Not only has Lalita’s life been blessed, but she passes the blessing of God’s love on to every person she encounters while at work.
