Messy Fishtail Braid Hair Tutorial

Because really hair is better when it’s messy right?

The big problem I have with large braids is keeping all my layers secure so they don’t fall out throughout the day, so I came up with a quick solution using some black elastics to hold the braid in place! Let me know what you think!

HAIR >> LUXY HAIR / TOP >> WINDSOR

Step by step tutorial >>

I am starting of my using all my LUXY HAIR in loose waves.

Now I am going to start of my briad with a elastic on the side I want it on.

Then pulling the hair through to create this effect.

Repeating the first step, & these steps will help secure my long bangs so then don’t all fall out of the braid!

After that I started doing a regular fishtail braid, pulling all the hair together on one side.

After I braided a couple inches I am going to repeat the first step and tie my hair with an elastic to keep my layers in place.

I pulled the hair through my elastic again to create this effect.

Gather all the hair & continue with a fishtail braid.

After braiding I am securing it with an elastic again to keep my hair from falling out of the braid.

Here is some detailed photos of how I pull my hair through the elastic to create a similar fishtail braid effect.

As you can see I simply make an opening & pull the hair through the back then tighten it.

Then finish up the rest of the braid in a fishtail & secure it with an elastic.

My final step is to pull it apart and make it as crazy big as you want cause with all the elastics you don’t have to worry about your braid falling apart!
