a personal project: portraits of my family + their favorite colors

i’m so lucky to have the kind of family that agrees to something like this ^ especially because most of them do not enjoy being in front of the camera whatsoever. they’re always willing to step outside their comfort zones and try something fun! for the past year or so i’ve been thinking about doing fun individual portraits of some of my family and finally decided to do it last time we were all together (minus canaan, but he’s up next for a glamour shot haha). I wanted each one to be personal and specific for the person in it and what better way than having them alongside their favorite colors?! I, of course, couldn’t miss out on the fun so I got in front of the camera too. this wasn’t a super complicated project but it was very fulfilling to get to see something happen that’s been in my brain for months. thanks to my sweet and supportive family members for this! love you guys xoxo
