For four years, Grace Sullivan wrote to a Marine she never met, and fell in love. But when his deployment ended, so did the letters. Ever since that day, Grace has been coasting, academically and emotionally. The one thing she’s decided? No way is Noah Jackson — or any man — ever going to break her heart again.

Noah has always known exactly what he wants out of life. Success. Stability. Control. That’s why he joined the Marines and that’s why he’s fighting his way — literally — through college. Now that he’s got the rest of his life on track, he has one last conquest: Grace Sullivan. But since he was the one who stopped writing, he knows that winning her back will be his biggest battle yet.
Early Reviews:
From Obsession with Books
"I loved this book and can't wait to read the next installment in the Woodlands series, the characters, storyline and gushing romance were all wonderfully written and Jen Frederick's writing is extremely engaging - she is definitely an author to remember and this is a book I'm more than happy to add to my favourites list!"
From Craves the Angst
"Noah Jackson was perfect in every way! He was compassionate, considerate and sexy as hell! His old school values mixed with his slight debauchery made him a perfect alpha male and you can't help but adore every part of his character."
From Nocturnal Book Reviews
"Undeclared was genuinely a lovely debut book. I was craving something comforting when I started reading it, and what I got was a big fluffy pillow of a sweet love story...Wonderful, lovely book, and I wholly recommend you read it."

Grace is sweet, kind, and smart. She gets an assignment in high school to write to a marine and become pen pals. Noah becomes Grace's best friend. She writes him every month and sends care packages for 4 years. Grace asks Noah to meet her when he comes back to the states after his tour ends. Noah writes Grace a "DEAR JOHN" letter and does not speak to her again.

Noah wants to meet Grace but he is a mess after the tour. He has to get his head on straight and work some stuff out before he goes to her.

Noah and Bo (Noah's best bud) transfer to Central so Noah can be with Grace.

Grace was so hurt by Noah's letter it takes her awhile to admit that she is still in love with Noah.

This was an easy read and I like that the couple did not go through too much drama. I dislike the games that the girls play with guys in real life. The fact that Grace was playing mind games with Noah, instead of just telling him the truth and admitting her feelings made me mad in the beginning of this story.

Once they revealed the truth the story got better for me.
