Welcome today to the beautiful, talented and very friendly
Stella from
The Adventures of a Very Dark Horse. Some of you may know her as my very
first featured blogger on
Wardrobe Wednesday, for others it may be from the awesome "I'm kind of a big deal on my blog" postcard that she designed for Bloggers Connecting back in April, and for some you are just being introduced now!
I'd like to think Stella and I are kindred souls, with a deep love of the Far North of NZ.
1. So Stella, tell us a little about yourself? I’m a SAHM to two littlies. In my spare time (so much of it, obv.) I blog over at www.verydarkhorse.blogspot.com, and work on various extra-curricular writing projects.
2. How would you describe your style? Does this change with the seasons? Erm. A little eclectic really. It changes a little with the seasons, but year round you will most likely find me wearing dresses and cardigans, or jeans and a tee.
3. What tips and tricks to you employee to suit your shape/size/lifestyle that we may be able to copy? E.g. showing wrists to make your arms look longer, etc. No tips or tricks! I try hard not to subscribe to this type of thing too much. As long as you are comfortable and you feel good, I think that’s all that matters. I’m pretty partial to horizontal stripes, which are supposed to be a fashion no-no for curvy girls (or so I’ve been told).
4. How do you learn or discover new things about style, fashion and trends? Favourite websites, stores, magazines or other sources. I regularly check out the beautiful dresses on
Modcloth, and often visit blogs like
Skunkboy or
Making Nice in the Midwest.
5. If the readers could buy just one item to enhance, modernise or update their wardrobe right now – what would you recommend? A pretty frock! Summer is just around the corner…
