Pink Peonies

It's the best time of year for pink peonies and this is one of my personal favorites! I like to keep one mini arrangement on my kitchen table and bedsides for a pop of color and beautiful scent in both rooms. Here I used a simple mason jar (cute one's here and here!) for a summer time look, but it is also pretty to use an old diptyque or nest candle! After the candle has burned, I immediately add ice to cool and scrape the excess wax out. I also use these to hold makeup brushes and cotton balls!

To arrange these, I first prep the flowers by cutting at an angle and removing leaves and any discolored petals. A tip for closed peonies: I was hosting a bridal luncheon and the peonies I ordered were not open yet. In a rush, I learned this magical trick! Place them in hot water and cover in plastic saran wrap. The peonies opened perfectly just in time for the party!
