Fall Happenings

As the seasons shift, I have been hunkering down at work but finding time for cozy respites amidst the craziness. Here a few things that have been making me happy...
Fall is happening! Temps are cooling and I made my first butternut squash lasagna of the season. My favorite season :)
Meeting friends for spiced chai lattes at Beachwood Cafe.
Working with yarn continues to inspire me. Especially these hand-dyed babies made by a friend in weaving class. That palette kills.
I spent a relaxing three nights in Big Sur, which might just be the coziest place on the planet. More on Big Sur soon.
This vase filled with tropical flowers makes my office feel like vacation (kinda). Looking forward to making some autumnal flowers arrangements in a couple weeks and posting about it here!
In the middle of a psycho work day, meeting up with Jeana Sohn for lunch in Koreatown at Yu Chun (kimchi dumplings from heaven).
Hadley Holliday's paintings, which I am lucky enough to stare at every day at the gallery. On view at TDC through October 26.
If I have time to make a proper breakfast in the morning, it tends to bode well for the rest of my day. Makes me feel like I am taking care of myself. Scrambled eggs and prosciutto, served on a bed of arugula alongside a whole wheat tortilla is my jam these days.
This is a bit crazy. Lucky Magazine invaded my house and featured me in their November issue. I'm still pinching myself.
