Heel Holland Bakt | All good things must come to an end | La Vie Fleurit

All good things must come to an end! Yesterday the final of Heel Holland Bakt got broadcasted and Menno was crowned the best amateur baker this year. I knew it when we first met … Menno was going to be one of the finalists for sure, if not the winner! However I must admit that during the final I felt like Anouk’s Safari ‘Kiekeboe’ pie looked GORGEOUS in addition as well! As a matter of fact, it must have been one of the prettiest baking creations, I’ve ever seen.

As most of you might know by now, I got send home after the second episode! A huge disappointment in comparison to the first week’s title off Master Baker of the Week. I really had a shitty weekend and I had hoped that the judges would have given me another chance, but regrettably they did not! However, I still had huge amounts of fun participating in the program and watching yesterday’s final brought back a lot of good memories! If it’s possible I might enter again next year, but in the meanwhile I’m working on a cookbook, for people who actually DO HAVE TIME haha! Thank you for all your enthusiastic and sweet messages! I will never forget this experience! And Menno my love I wish you the very very very best, I hope all your dreams come true and that you’ll be the next big thing in baking and who knows publishing land!
