Change of Scenery
This was another outfit from our trip to LA, a sunny but chilly day we spent walking around and eating everything in sight. I really didn’t intend to take outfit pics on our trip, but our street was cute and quiet, and I found myself inspired by the change of scenery. We can take the things we see everyday for granted, but when we are out of our routine, every little thing becomes photogenic.
dress, coat, boots, scarf: thrifted (dress also styled here)
chambray shirt & polka dot tights: Forever 21 (couple years old)
vintage beaded bag: estate sale
On the subject of inspiring, I finally watched Advanced Style yesterday (streaming on Netflix). I’ve enjoyed periodic visits to the blog for awhile, but actually seeing these ladies speak was a whole new level of inspiration. Their zest for life and passion for creativity is contagious. And today’s post? KILLING IT with the black and white patterns!
Thinking about aging can be weird and scary, but the joie de vivre each of these ladies possess is a reminder not to ever let go of your curiosity and keep nurturing that creative spirit. It’s also great to see people talking about clothes and building an outfit as a creative expression and outlet, and not just a materialistic pursuit as some would believe.
