Bout of Books 12.0: Wrap-Up

Bout of Books is a low-pressure week long read-a-thon where the reader decides it all. The only rule is too read. It’s also a great time to network with others. Hosted by Amanda and Kelly.

I always love participating in Bout of Books during this time of the year because I’m on holidays for January! This time around, I was also a Bout of Books expert which gave me extra motivation because I was giving other people motivating. (I mean, hopefully I was motivating other people…) After a huge reading slump throughout the end of last year, this read-a-thon definitely sparked my love of reading again.

My initial goal was 1000 pages. At 11:59pm on the last day, I was busy playing games and completely forgot about the read-a-thon. Then, I died (in the game) and realised that I had almost 200 pages to go! Nonetheless, I’m planning to finish off the last 220 of the book I’m currently reading today. During the week of Bout of Books, I read You by Caroline Kepnes, Girl Online by Zoe Sugg and a portion of Captive by Aimee Carter.
