Keeping Up with the Blogs You Follow

I’m not sure if I’m the only one who has trouble keeping up with all the blogs I follow. Right now, I only follow 69 blogs but I have 630 unread posts. What’s worse, having hundreds of unread posts is a totally normal thing for me. Every time I hit 0, I feel the need to tweet about it because it’s literally so rare. Plus, there’s all the blogs I often visit but haven’t followed because they haven’t fully grasped my attention.

I’m starting to question whether following 69 blogs is actually too much. Oh and, I promise that it was 100% coincidental that I follow 69 blogs. For once, I didn’t do it on purpose.

But anyway, sorry for all the blabbing. What this post is actually about it how you keep up with all the blogs. I’m not sure if I’ve done a post on this before or if there are already a bunch of posts like this out there but it’s something I’m really curious about. I know that some people follow their absolute favourite blogs via email and then blogs they like on a feed reader like Bloglovin’. Others, like me, only use a feed reader. Some people just don’t follow any blogs and instead visit whenever they feel like it.

I personally really like Bloglovin’ because I can’t imagine having 600 emails in my inbox. I’d probably have a heart attack. I also like being able to mark posts that I’m not interested in as read. I’m not sure if it’s better than any of the other feed readers though. It’s just the first popular one that I came across. I actually prefer the UI of Feedly but I’m not bothered to change. Also, most of my blog followers come from Bloglovin’.

What method do you use to keep up with your favourite blogs? Why?
