Tip of the Day: Going off
yesterday's post on how I eat healthy, yet enjoyably while traveling/eating at restaurants, I wanted to share another way I allow for treats. Now, there are trips where I allow myself to eat complete treat meals and several of them, but, to be honest, I like the way I feel and look when I'm on my usual health and fitness regimen. Because the guidelines in the
LG Meal Plan are so realistic and maintainable, it's easy to follow them while traveling and still feel like I'm enjoying. I love the flexibility of the portions and food plate sections, which I take advantage of to enjoy treats. Here's how... I love salads, and salads are often low-carb meals, so without the carbohydrate food plate section fulfilled, there's room in your belly and on your food plate for a treat! My favorite...a little cheesecake or gelato after the meal :) All guilt-free!
