This is probably as "country" you will ever see me. While I have a deep appreciation for vintage south western pieces from the States, I feel a little lost on the Australian interpretation of "country" dressing. Maybe I have just spent to much time online lusting over vintage abroad that I'm simply unappreciative of country style in Australia. It's just one of those styles I just don't get. Unless it's an Akubra and I can thank Bec & Bridge for that love affair.
So when Betts asked me to style these gorgeous boots in three different ways with the style brief country girl and equestrian themed, I really struggled putting this together. I was already wearing this outfit nil the hat and when I put my favourite asos hat on it all finally clicked. It's amazing how things come together when your not over thinking it. You would have laughed at some of the outfits I tried out weeks prior when I was trying to work this style brief out, it was tragic. This is just the first look in a series for this collaboration with Betts Shoes that I shot with the blogs talented new addition Bianca Leigh. Who you may have noticed has already started posting her amazing photography on the blog, so expect to see much more from her.
