The Daily Beauty: Dealing with Tech Neck. Indeed Labs’ Fillume Volumising Moisturiser & Serum

I know that I am not the only person who spends all their time squinting down at a number of electronic devices, from the smartphone in my hand, to the laptop propped up on my knees in bed – as it is at the moment as I write this post, because apparently the average phone user looks down to check their phone around 110 times per day.

That means a lot of people squishing their chin into their neck, as they looking down at their phones, and apparently which delightfully can lead to sagging skin and dropping jowls, a condition that dermatologists are calling ‘tech neck’.

Joy.

I’m not going to suggest nipping down the clinic to inject fillers or do anything radical to combat the negative effects that our ever-growing technical habits have on our skin or to solve neck issues exacerbated by looking down all the time, but I do think it’s a good idea to pay attention to the neck and décolletage as best skincare practice.

You don’t need special neck creams or any of that jazz: just find a product that works as well on your face as it does on your neck. When I was asked to trial Indeed Labs’ Fillume for the blog I was all YES PLEASE, so I’ve been using it for the past month – I packed it for my epic trip to Detroit and New York, when I knew the skin on my neck and face would be badly dehydrated and need some serious plumping up – and so far colour me impressed.

Packed full of hyaluronic acid, it’s one of those products that aims to be way more than a moisturiser in your every day skin routine – providing an early intervention and natural alternative to more invasive cosmetic procedures.

I’ve been using two products. Firstly, Indeed Labs’ Fillume Volumising Serum, which is a multi-peptide formula designed to help improve the visual signs of ageing including loss of firmness, moisture and elasticity, and secondly, Indeed Labs’ Fillume Volumising Moisturiser, a combination of clinically proven ingredients designed to help target the appearance of subtle facial volume loss. Sesamin, (from seeds of sesame), the afore-mentioned hyaluronic acid, and a molecular network of natural biopolymers help skin appear fuller, firmer and smoother

I have definitely noticed that my skin looks softer and plumper on both neck and face – that’s because the serum has, for me, definitely increased my skin’s hydration levels, and the moisturiser is designed to topically restore the look of facial contours and plump the appearance of furrow lines and smile/laughter lines. I’ve also noticed an improvement in the tone and texture of my skin, which has been feeling really rough and dry thanks to thousands of miles in a pressurised aeroplane cabin.

I’m also going to give a shoutout to the frankly genius delivery system: one of my bugbears about pots of creams is that we have to stick our grubby little fingers into them. I know that many come with tiny little spatulas, but I always seem to drop/lose/break them and after a while they are no better than using your paws. Even the cleanest hand is transferring bacteria into the pot and so Fillume’s solution: a clever sealed press-down system allows just the right amount to be hygienically delivered.
