How To Use Twitter For Blog Exposure
So you’ve taken the vast leap of faith and started a blog. Your post is up but you aren’t getting any exposure.
Answer: It’s time to promote your content.
Twitter is an easy and addicting social media platform. The set up is simple and it’s easy to engage and gain a following. The more you engage, the higher the traffic to your site and vice versa.

In the age of technology, it is easy to get overwhelmed with content creation and the never ending job of promoting new and old posts.
In order to save yourself some time, make sure all your accounts are shared with each other via settings.
This way you aren’t promoting on each individual platform and as soon as you hit the publish button its seen on Twitter (and other platforms).
There are apps like Hootsuite which, you can schedule your tweets in advance that will help you promote your blog (even when you’re sleeping).
Some may argue that analytics aren’t important when it comes to blogging and promoting.
I’m here to tell you those people are idiots.
Analytics are crucial when it comes to understanding your demographic, your reach, and your growth on Twitter.
Analytics can help you grow as a blogger because they tell you the popularity of your tweets and the engagement rate from them. Thus giving you the insight as to what content to keep producing and what to scrap.
Demographics are a great way to learn what your demographic is. For example, I have a makeup and lifestyle blog and a large group of tattoo artist makes up my demographic.
Naturally, I now follow a lot of tattoo blogs and artists across all my platforms but especially on Twitter.
Gratitude goes a long way when it comes to Twitter. Be courteous and always thanks your followers whether it be a follow or retweet.
This is a great way to engage your audience and over time you will have subscribers to count on who will retweet your posts and gain a larger audience.
Personally, I receive some of the highest engaged tweets by simply thanking my followers and using hashtags. By using this method, not only are you engaging the audience but you are gaining the potential for new followers by using hashtags by thanking new subscribers.

Twitter is best used as a daily engagement tool. Make a habit of thanking your audience and posting new content on every day. Like and retweet as much as possible.
Group chats are a great way of reaching new audiences and gaining new followers and their fun. #GRLPOWER is one that I participate in on and off. The only downfall with group chats is that they are often on European time and can be difficult to find one’s suitable to your time zone.
