calling all potato farmers! [or anyone that may have a few potato sacks to spare...]

so! i have officially been spending waaay too much time popping in and out and iiiiin and out of my closet these last few days, pulling dress after top after dress out just trying to find something to wear on my body... it's becoming quiiiite an interesting task, let me tell you!
i mean, i think i get like that, pregnant or not, each year when the seasons change and i'm trying to find something perfectly in-betweensy... but also, by the time i was this pregnant and bumpin' with maddalena, i was pretty much already in semi-permanent bathing suit mode! and so easy, life in bathing suit mode, isn't it?! throw on a flowy tank, pull on some shorts, make sure you have a pair of sandals in your car somewhere... oooh, we're almost there!! but... we aren't yet, clearly, as told by my uggs, who don't officially retire into summer hibernation until we have continuous temps in the 80s. give me 80s, please oh please, and then the uggies go nightynight. :)
aaaanyway! apparently, i've cleaned out my closet a whole lot, too, since the last time i had a bump to dress... and so off to target we went the other day, me and the girl and the boy bump. aaaaall i really want out of life is a fresh supply of shifts and maxis and also slouchy tops in the appropriate size of flowy-jungous, and i thought maybe target would like to contribute?

theeeese were my successful girl-with-bump findings...
1. stripey maxi dress - actually, it's the same one i bought in solid black, like, a year ago that ended up being a size too big and i sold it without even getting to wear it! so, fiiiinally got that one figured out! woo! and we all love a maxi over a bump, right?
2. foldover waistband yoga leggings - shockingly decent in thickness for target leggings! i was totally amazed. we'll see how they hold up, but for now, that foldover waistband and the mere $15 spent is gonna be liiiife changing. miss my zellas already, but that waistband's been squeezing just a wee bit too hard on my second-almost-born lately!
aaaand! honorable mentions, slash, kinda wishing i'd gotten these but had decent reasons not to...
3. cuuutest off the shoulder dress ever - seriously! but so impractical, as it only comes in one see-through color with also see-through holes in it. umm... why? so then i snapchatted a pic of it to my sister, but she didn't get back to me with a "buy it anyway!" and so i didn't. but... i kinda still want it, so how do we make this one work? help! need! seamstress!
4. goddessy lace maxi - i didn't even try this one on because i spotted it post-fitting room, but whaaat was i thinking! if it had looked horrible on me, i'd totally have one less thing to regret not purchasing right now. this looked potentially beautiful and goddessy.

5. crochet shorts - okay, i got these in black last time i went to target (i'm going to be a walking advertisement if i'm not careful, i know), and they are theee cutest! so, i was tempted... but didn't end up getting these in cream this last time because i thought "oh, one pair is enough." but no, it's not. and i should've. and i'm going to! because my other pair of lacey/crochet-y shorts is a smidge on the worn out side, and they have totally been a summer staple for me.

obviously, the best part of any shopping trip is having the most adorable little shopping assistant this world has to offer. she seriously makes me laugh everywhere we go, and she's learning much lately about sale racks and fitting rooms. ;) important things, right!!

anyway, i think i'm foreseeing another target go-round in my future here soon? not to mention a much needed order of my faaaavorite pikos... and i feel like i need like a really huge, flowy maxi from somewhere. i've said it once and i'll say it again: shopping is a pregnancy instinct! anyone with preg favs to share? anyone with potato sacks to donate? i'm in the market! xoxoxo
