Good morning!
We are officially mid-week status, and on Wednesdays, we talk about food.
(Have no idea what WIAW is all about? This post breaks it down!)
What I Ate Wednesday Tuesday
Breakfast started as soon as I could get to it with a cup of coffee and a new fiber cereal.
Nature’s Path Sunrise Crunchy Maple Cereal with almond milk and blackberries
It tastes like a mix between corn puffs, flakes and maple syrup. So good!
I worked on the computer through the morning, and before I knew it, lunch came around Noon. I knew I would be at the gym for the rest of the afternoon, so I made a nutritious and substantial meal before I took off.
Romaine lettuce, arugula, spinach, red and green peppers, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, black olives, avocado, feta cheese, sliced grilled chicken, and pepper with Greek dressing.
I don’t use a salad dressing very often since I usually prefer a balsamic vinegar and olive oil, but I was craving Greek dressing yesterday. It was delicious!
I had a couple of appointments at the gym, then stuck around to complete my own workout and work on some assignments.
I packed a snack for post-workout, too.
Cocotein coconut water (purchased at The Vitamin Shoppe) and cuties
I had errands to run when I was done, and the highlight included a stop into Target. Anddd this superhero shirt that ended up in my cart. I told you, some things from childhood will never get old!
(You can find it online here.)
After spending half my paycheck (typical), I walked a couple doors down to find dinner. I was going to pick up ingredients to make a casserole from Target, but then… Chipotle sounded like a better option. No more GMOs!
Scott was on his way from work, so I grabbed two salads with chicken, black beans, rice, salsa (tomato and corn!) and cheese. I also got a side of guacamole, which was quickly followed by a side of chips as well. Ahhh, Chipotle. You da best.
We both scarfed everything as soon as I got home, and we spent the rest of the night watching NBA Playoff games.
Oh, and of course, I had a tall cup of dark chocolate almond milk and quite possibly a couple of chocolate chip cookies before bed, too. Yum!

Please note: What I Ate Wednesday features an entire day of my unfiltered eats. In no way do I change what I eat just for the sake of documenting it. While I try to be mindful with portions, I don’t count calories. I do, however, take into account how much activity I am going to be doing that day, and I plan my meals and snacks accordingly.
Question of the Morning
• Do you have a go-to snack before bed every night? What is it?
Happy Hump Day!
