After spending time in Austin this past December, I still find myself inspired by the Southwestern style the city had. Though I’m not going to be rocking cowboy hats and daisy dukes anytime soon, I’ve definitely had an eye out for western details these days. Studded and stitched boots, knitted ponchos, spur inspired accessories, and a little fringe have all been making their way to my wish list. It’s a slightly more regional take on the Americana trends we’ve seen in the past few years. Instead of overtly nationalistic flags splattered across denim shorts, it’s getting back to the country’s rustic, wild west roots. Maybe I’m due for another trip to Texas…
