LOOK: LONDON PLUS SIZE FASHION WEEKEND

Yesterday I spent the day at the first ever London Plus Size Fashion Weekend which was held at Shoreditch Town Hall. I had a really good day, despite feeling a bit introspective and mentally exhausted due to stuff going on in my personal life.

I met some really amazing ladies throughout the day and was really happy to see and catch up with some of the bloggers who I had previously met last year at Plus London and Plus North.

Meeting like-minded people is something I have really struggled with since moving to London. For some reason I battle to put myself out there and when I do meet like-minded people I don't seem to be able to build on these meetings so they lead to friendships as I have been able to do in the past. Has anyone else experienced this before? I think that attending events such as these is a great way of stepping out of your comfort zone and expanding your network.

Anyway enough with the deep shiz, and on to what I wore! Allow me to introduce my first outfit post. Just a heads up, it's not the best picture, but if I don't freaking start now it will never happen! I had so many compliments throughout yesterday from such sweethearts and people I genuinely admire, which was just the best feeling - thank you for being so kind!

Please say hi if I met you yesterday and haven't found you on Twitter etc yet!

Overall I think LPSFW was good. There are a lot of negative comments going around about it and a lot of positive ones too. Everyone will have their own opinions. As a first event for the organisers I think it was a really good effort and they should be proud of themselves. The two main negative points I have about the event are that I think it was expensive for what we got - compared to Plus London and Plus North - and there was a lot of time spent standing around between activities, with no real comfy sitting and socialising area.

Finally, if you haven't checked out Cult of California, Pauline et Julie or One One Three go NOW! Their clothes are simply what plus size dreams are made of!
