Vintage Luxe Wedding Tablescape

Tutu table skirts aren’t just for little girls birthday parties! Pinterest is flooded with ideas for using tutu table skirts at baby showers and birthdays, but here this frilly table skirt is elevated to the extreme level of elegance in our Vintage Luxe Wedding Tablescape. By tossing more sophisticated elements into the mix, tutu table skirts transform into a modern, fashionable and ultra-elegant elegant table linen. The goal for this vintage luxe inspired tablescape was to use the tutu to create a style for a more mature audience. We love the idea of using this tablescape for weddings, Quinceaneras, or Sweet 16 birthday parties!

Make this fun table skirt more sophisticated by adding chic details like we did with our blush pink sequin tablecloth. Pull up the front using a scalloping technique to reveal the tutu table skirt underneath. To properly scallop a tablecloth, first lay it over the top of the table as usual. Starting at the corners of the table, gather the tablecloth and bring it even with the table’s surface. Use a safety pin to attach the gathered fabric to the table skirt. Don’t worry if the pin shows because you can always add little embellishments like the pink silk roses that we used!

There aren’t many things more sophisticated and elegant than gold, which is why we chose to place the table settings atop gold fluted chargers.

With sequins and tutus stealing the show, a simple centerpiece is all that is needed for this tablescape. Our new dusty rose peonies are the perfect focal point, while smaller bouquets of white hydrangea and pink roses fill out the table. The differing heights of the brass candle holders add interesting dimension to the centerpiece and tie into the gold charger plates. Our vintage bird cage lantern and standing vintage lantern complement the tea accouterments on the opposite corner and round out this look.
