Urban Decay Electric Palette Review and Swatches!

I have had this palette since it's release and I have to say I had no intention on buying it at all! I went to Sephora to shop for my birthday back in March and was just browsing. I didn't even expect to see this there since it had literally just launched.
One of the main reasons I was going to pass on this palette is because I have the Sugar Pill pro palette and figured I didn't need two super bright palettes. That thought instantly vanished the second I swatched this beauty! I needed it!!
First of all the packaging is gorgeous! It's a hard plastic packaging with magnetic closure.
It includes a double ended brush, which I actually like. The larger side is great for packing on color to the lid and the smaller end is great for detail work, the inner corners, or lower lash line.
I like that there is a full size mirror the entire length and width of the palette.
Swatches in same order as palette L to R Top row - Revolt, Gonzo, Slowburn, Savage, and Fringe. Bottom row - Chaos, Jilted, Urban, Freak, and Thrash.

The formulation on each of these shadows is amazing. They are buttery smooth and pack instant color payoff with a single swipe. The swatches above are with no primer and as you can see none of them are patchy or streaky. This smoothness translates to the eyes and makes them easy to blend.

I know not everyone can wear these colors everyday or maybe you just don't want a whole eye look that's full of color. You can use this like I do most of the time and use it as your pop of color.
I love doing a neutral look and adding any of these shades on the lower lash line. It instantly adds a bit of fun to your eye look. Another way I tend to make this palette more neutral is applying one shade all over the lid and then adding a dark brown/black on the outer corners to smoke it out.
Of course using several of the colors together is beautiful as well, but don't be intimidated by this palette.
If you have been contemplating this palette, don't hesitate! It is amazing!
You can find this at Sephora or Ulta for $49.
