I have been thinking of my kid’s future and I want them to be worry free of their college expenses. Whatever they want to be in the future, I want to be able to provide for them and help them in their education endeavors.

My parents were not able to provide me with a college savings plans, they had other things in mind, like providing us with shelter, food and clothes. Thankfully, I was able to attend college with the help of Financial Aid and I worked part time during my High School and College years to pay for expenses, a car and help my parents with paying the mortgage. I worked hard and studied hard because I wanted an education and because I wanted to make my parents proud and thank them for all they did.

Aries, sure loves school and only hope she loves school all they way until she graduates college. I can already imagine her in her cap and gown making us proud. In the meantime, I’m opening two savings college plans so my kids have the opportunity and be worry-free of expenses for college.

To be eligible for ScholarShare’s National 529 promotion, California families will need to open a new ScholarShare College Savings Plan with an initial deposit of at least $50 and be enrolled in the automatic contribution plan (ACP) for the new account with at least $25 each month.
