Stache Stories Recap

Wrapping up Movember, as I mentioned on my recent post, here are some streetstyle snaps of handsome gents with great style and beautiful stache.

And although I can’t grow a moustache yet, I can appreciate a well groomed and manicured facial hair. StacheStories has great shaving and grooming tips from Canada’s leading barbers and influencers. Here are 3 very useful tips I found out about shaving which I will be applying now to my daily routine.

Use a brush, not your fingers, to apply shaving cream. I’ve always used my hands when applying shaving cream, because it’s what I’ve seen my dad and men in movies do. Apparently, using a brush pushes the cream into the hair, which makes for an easier shave. Also, badger hair brushes are the best for lifting and coating the hair (there’s another gift idea).

Shave in the direction of hair growth. I am guilty of shaving in the opposite direction of my hair growth, because I think it’s easier and faster, but I do often get razor burns that way. I guess it all makes sense now, so no more of that.

Lather shaving cream on your face and let it sit for 2-3 minutes before shaving to soften the hair. I don’t think I let shaving cream sit on my face long enough. Mainly because I’m always on a rush but I’ll defintely make sure it sits for at least 2 minutes next time.

And If you haven’t had the chance, check out the StacheStories.
