Mellow Yellow II

Hi Guys,
This is a quick post on one of my all time favourite summer fashion essentials- my yellow A line midi skirt. Those of you who have been following the blog for a while will have seen this before, as it has been photographed quite a few times on here.

The main thing I love about this skirt is the colour, yellow is such a perfect summer tone and really stands out from all the black, denim and leather that are everywhere at the moment. However the other reason I love this skirt is the fact that it is A line which a the great style for my pear shape figure, as it comes in at my narrowest part of my waist and again it is nice to mix things up in the current sea of skater and midi skirts.
I styled the look with a simple white vest and bright neon thread necklace to keep the colourful summery theme going and I think it works really well. I picked up the skirt in a pop up fashion shop here in Manchester 2 /3 years ago and I always go back to this skirt every year and always find new ways to style it to keep it up to date- do you have a summer essential piece you always rely on?
I hope you like the look and like me I am sure you are glad it is Friday tomorrow? This week has been soo busy and I have been up and down to London today with work editing a fashion film so I am practically falling asleep while I write this, but hey weekend soon!
