Although these powders are never going to offer you a real-life filter (I'm pretty sure you'd look odd and a little bit alien if that were the case,) they do help to create a subtle effect on the skin. The brightening formula helps to reflect the light and warm the complexion, perfect on days when you're feeling a little tired and need a cosmetic pick-me-up. The lightweight bronzing powder provides both a smoothing effect and delicate sunkissed glow; if you're scared of bronzing or find most powders way too dark for you, then this is a great alternative - especially for pale skins. The cooling lilac tone helps to reduce any red undertones and dullness in the skin, while working well in conjunction with a traditional highlighter. Together they offer a new way to play with your makeup and encourage new consumers to start investigating the benefits of colour correcting; it's usually quite a tricky concept to get your head around, but with the 'filter' analogy it's instantly relatable and workable.
