LFW Day Two

For the second day of London Fashion Week, the sun finally graced us with her presence!

It almost, almost felt Spring like.

And you know me, any excuse to wear a dress!

Especially one from my current fashion brand obsession, Self Portrait.

Han Chong is a Singaporean designer who graduated from London’s Saint Martins. He set up Self Portrait in 2013.

I cannot get enough of his feminine shapes, peek-a-boo cut-outs and understated use of colour.

The dresses are getting increasingly difficult to get a hold of and seem to sell (out) like hot cakes!

These are a few of my favourites:

Fashion Week at Somerset House is a people watcher’s dream come true.

So as usual I indulged in a little style stalking!

Took a little break for brunch at Tom’s.

Where they offered a limited (but clearly pretty damn exciting) menu…

I had the most exceptional eggs Benedict.

Really crispy, tasty bacon, runny eggs and cracking hollandaise.

By this time I was so hungry that I plum forgot to take a photo of it! Horrible blogger, I know!

Here’s one of a beauty in a hat, to make up for it.

And some candyfloss curls!

Forgive me yet?!

I caught up with my favourite fashionista and her sister in the courtyard.

And lusted over her distressed denim!

Never mind that Chanel lego bag…

It was a good day for style stalking.

In the afternoon I nipped over to Mayfair for a little catch up at Matthew Williamson.

Who may just have the coolest store on Bruton St.

I would quite happily call one of those glass boxes home!

I was there to choose an outfit for Matthew’s show the following day.

The phrase “kid in a sweet shop” has never been more relevant.

I tried on a number of swishy little numbers.

In a rainbow of colours!

But knew the second I tried this baby on, that I’d found The One.

I guess I must be a palm reader!

The packaged it away and whisked it off to my house, ready for the morning.

I said goodbye to planet Williamson and headed back to the cobbles of London Fashion Week.

Caught up with Amber, one half of my favourite tech entrepreneur duo by a country mile!

And met Lucy for lunch at the beautiful Spring, hidden deep inside Somerset House.

Mozzarella, chilli and basil.

Delicious ingredients served simply so the flavours can really sing!

Perfectly cooked, plump scallops, samphire and polenta.

Chorizo and clams.

Salty, smokey, rich and fresh, all at once.

All topped off with a big scoop of heaven!

Chocolate mousse with salted caramel (to share).

We caught up, schemed, planned, gossiped and generally talked each other’s ears off!

Before marching off into the setting sun.

(Not so) quietly humming “these boots were made for walkin’!” as we went.

We scaled the ME Hotel tower and nestled into the Ugg Sanctuary.

Where I think it’s safe to say, we felt very much at home!

SnUGGled up in their homewares.

Knocking (unintentionally matching) boots.

Watch out, the Stuart Weitzman addiction is contagious! Once you join the club you’ll never be able to look at another pair in the same way.

Don’t say you weren’t warned!
