Evelyn Taylor Bridal - Holmfirth, West Yorkshire

Not so long ago, my dear friend Shannon announced that she was going to be opening her very own bridal store. Shannon used to be my manager but ever since she left our old store we remained good friends. It's been very exciting to watch her follow her dreams (and to have a chance to help out by creating her logo. It's insane to see one of my designs as a vinyl in a store window!). She named the boutique Evelyn Taylor, a wonderful way to commemorate her late grandmother.

Now this is not a wedding blog by any stretch of the imagination. I'm not yet engaged! *cough* Jack!? *cough* but I do love anything girly and pretty. If you follow my wedding board on Pinterest then you'll know that I'm partial to a pretty wedding dress or two. Personally, I think that trying to find a dress that will make me feel beautiful and give me that fairytale feeling when I first see it on in the mirror will be most special part of planning my own wedding. I romanticise wedding ceremonies and dressing up, I believe in the whole feeling like a princess on your wedding day, it's something that I've dreamt of since I was a little girl. So it will come as no surprise that I also think that the boutique where you find your dream dress needs to be something special, too.

Shannon's little bridal store definitely hits the mark. It's gorgeous, it's light and airy. The atmosphere is jovial and welcoming (although that could have something to do with the silliness that ensues whenever we get together).

Shannon specialises in pre-loved and off the peg gowns. Shannon's mother provides vintage inspired, handmade bridesmaid dresses at pretty prices and you will find a selection of accessories and shoes on offer, too. This bridal store has it all really, right down to personal recommendations on sourcing great photographers and wedding cakes within the area. Everything is covered (and I'm sure all of this helps to make the difference between pinnacle of calm or bridezilla).

Massive congratulations on your new venture Shannon! The store looks stunning!

If you're a bride-to-be in the Yorkshire area, feel free to get in touch! The boutique's contact details can be found here. You'll be in a lovely pair of hands! x
