The Truth Is...

I'm currently traveling home today from one crazy weekend. You know me, never one to outright tell the world/blog when and where I'm traveling- at least not in advance of being there. But that half-marathon that happened over the weekend? Well I survived, and that post will come- but right now I'm in a car driving home from Washington D.C. Jared and I ran the Rock n' Roll half-marathon and made a long weekend trip out of it to tour the area! Both us have been to D.C. before but it has manyyyyy years for both of us.

So that might explain why I was so absent the last week or so. Preparing for a half-marathon is one thing, but preparing to travel 8 hours away and do one is another! I was so nervous about forgetting to pack something or getting lost in the city without a map and scheduling our tours that I barely had time to sleep at night. I'm an over-planner (to a fault, for sure) so until we got to D.C. I was a nervous wreck ;) Okay, and until the race was over I was still nervous.
I can't wait to share more about the trip and all about the race. See you all after a few more icepacks and a lottttt of foam rolling!
