10 Awesome Things – February Edition

Here we are in the second month of 2015. Another month of finding awesome things in our lives. Sometime sit’s the simplest things that bring us bursts of joy and happiness. The following things have brought a smile to my face.

1. I love having fires. Nothing beats the smell of a fire as it warms your home. I have to say though, that a gas fireplace is so convenient. With temps below 10 and a few days below zero (without the windchill) being able to light a fire with the flick of a switch is awesome.

2. February Break is approaching for my family. Here’s to 1 week off from school. With that comes late nights, lazy mornings, and a break from their routine.

3. We bought my daughter’s senior ball gown at the first shop we went to. We are both thrilled with the dress. It’s pretty awesome to think that other than alterations we are all set for the ball and can now relax. The pressure is off. Phew.

4. I am so happy with my transfer to WordPress. I am still learning things as I go and finding great ways to tweak things. I will have post at some later date about my transfer and my adjustment. I just want to give Kristie from Blog Ambitions a virtual high five for helping me get my new theme up and running. She’s been great to work with and very informative. You know what’s awesome? Going to your blog and being excited to be there.

5. Coming home from work at putting comfy clothes on.

6. The 1st Blogger Pow Wow was awesome! Such a fun group of bloggers. Already looking forward to the next one!

7. Not stressing over Valentine’s Day. Being married for as many years as I have been it’s nice to be able to relax and know that Valentine’s Day is just another day. Not that we won’t do anything as a couple at some point but last year we opted to spend the night with the loves of our lives…our 3 daughters. I’m secretly hoping we get to have another candlelight dinner with them. Our night out alone can wait.

8. Rearranging a room or shelves to switch things up and to get a new look. It’s the cheapest form of redecorating there is.

9. Watching your blogging friendships grow and deepen.

10. Realizing that I can create my own stylized stock photos. I’m always on the lookout now for things that I can use to try to create more photos. Here’s one of my favorites.
