CoSchedule: A WordPress Blogger’s Dream

Promoting your posts on social media is a huge part of being a blogger. Social media allows us to reach hundreds of people at a time. It can be the driving force behind getting people to your blog and keeping them there.

When I was on Blogger I had a routine. Write my post, save it, schedule it, exit Blogger and head over to one of the 2 social media management tools I used. It got the job done but it wasn’t a streamlined process.

When I transferred my blog over to WordPress I was eager to try a plug in that so many bloggers were raving about. Coschedule was praised as a blogger’s dream. I was excited to try it out. I was even more thrilled to find out that they offered it on a trial period first; allowing bloggers to sample the ease and organization of the plug in before committing to it.

I set up my account and customized it. I added the social media platforms that I use to promote my posts. Simple right?

In WordPress, CoSchedule shows up at the foot of your writing area. As soon as your post is completed and scheduled, you scroll down the page and start promoting. It’s all done in one spot. No copying and pasting permalinks, no switching from one tab to another in your browser. As you enter your promotion you are able to see exactly how it will look on each social media platform. You have the option to enter the same message on each social media platform at the same time or you can tailor your promotion to a specific platform.

Each day you can have multiple posts scheduled. You can schedules posts for the day your post is published, the next day, or any point in the future. Here’s a glimpse of my CoSchedule calendar.

You may notice right side of the calendar up above that says “Drafts”. By clicking on that I am able to see what posts have yet to be published. With a mere click and a drag I can load those drafts onto my calendar and they will get published.

The beauty of CoSchedule (or one of them I should say) is that my time is now freed up. I have all of those promotions scheduled and I get to sit back and relax and let this plugin promote me. Genius.

Another huge benefit of CoSchedule to a blogger that’s new to WordPress? I have tons of older posts that I can now go back and promote again. I am able to write new content as well as have my older content shared again and again.

CoSchedule is kind enough to point out my top posts so I know where to start my promotions first.

Perhaps you are a blogger that is big into stats. CoSchedule is perfect for you. Each post that you promote lets you know how often it was promoted or shared by others.

CoSchedule also has amazing customer service. Questions and comments are answered quickly. There are tutorials and videos available on their website that make navigating CoSchedule a breeze.

As you can see in the above photo, CoSchedule tutorials cover a broad spectrum. Help is literally just a click away.

If I haven’t convinced you of how easy and wonderful CoSchedule is, take a look at their

video.

You can try CoSchedule before committing to it. You are even able to extend your trial period by one week by sharing your experience with CoSchedule on social media. My free trial of CoSchedule is just about up. I will definitely be purchasing this plug in. For $10/month (think of that as 3 signature coffee drinks a month) I can continue to promote my posts the simplest and most efficient way I know how to; through CoSchedule. They even make purchasing the plug in simple. If for some reason you decide to cancel CoSchedule you can at any point. You are not locked into a yearly plan. $10/month gets you unlimited social promotions for your posts and you are not limited to choosing a certain number of social media platforms.

It honestly doesn’t get any easier than this.

My wish for today is that if you are on WordPress and haven’t tried CoSchedule yet, do yourself and your blog a favor. Try it. It is a game changer.
